Mentoring Groups
Peer Mentoring Partnership Groups

The first year Peer Mentoring Partnership Group program is for those in partnering business relationships. The partnership can be life partners, married partners, friends in partnership and legal corporate partners. The objective of the annual partnership program is help partners grow to become highly functional in all aspects of their leadership.

Where do partners need to be in order to join?
  • They need to want to identify, be uncomfortable for varied periods and move beyond any degree of dysfunction in the partnership and the business.
  • They need to commit to doing what it takes to grow themselves and the business partnering relationship and do what is needed for the overall betterment of all involved.
  • They need to want to play and experiment with new ways of interacting and leading together.
  • Be open to sharing their stories (past), embrace the present and create the future.

“You can really unload with these people,” says Deborah Nelson, owner of Stain Stitches Ltd., a dance line-wear manufacturer in Coon Rapids. Nelson has used her group to sort out limitations in her leadership role and problems with cash flow and employees.

“Nancy Meyer is part of the process,” said Judson Bemis, president of Outsell Inc. “She puts herself on the line in meetings, as well as expecting you to.”

Artist Sheryl Vanderpol joined WeMentor four years ago when she was launching Untapped Resource, a Plymouth-based business that designs hand-painted tiles, murals and porcelain sinks for houses and country clubs. Vanderpol grew up poor in rural South Dakota. Like many female entrepreneurs, she has struggled with how to place an appropriate and livable price on her labor-intensive services.
