Always an entrepreneur, this owner has had a couple of other successful ventures prior to his current venture in media.

In the media arena, he has experienced growth through sales and acquisition of other small ventures. He came to WeMentor for a focused mentoring group program where he could plan, troubleshoot and brainstorm with his peers. He was open to being challenged to grow and become a more effective leader.

He has a learning difficulty and is unable to write. As a result he developed an amazing mind and memory. He needed individual help getting his thoughts on paper, mastering organizational and time management skills and addressing people conflicts.

Within two years we helped stabilize the owner’s business while he gained focus, purpose and aligned his resources more toward a higher purpose. After his divorce we also helped him sort through his transition into a relationship that met more of his needs and was good for his two children.

His technical expertise has provided a training ground for those in media production education programs, where he has been extremely influential in mentoring others.


An advertising executive left her position to purchase a recruiting firm with her husband, who had human resource expertise.

The business was not doing as well as it had looked on paper. The owner sought our mentoring services to learn how to run a business and handle the financial pressure to meet payroll. During our three-year business mentoring relationship we worked with her on every aspect of developing her values and nurturing the culture to exemplify those values. She learned how to hire and fire staff, and mentor them. She also had to learn the recruiting industry, which was a new field for her. She became financially astute in the process.

By the time she turned the venture around, her non-compete with her prior company ran out, so she started a recruit ad agency with a partner while continuing to grow her recruiting firm. All of her personal and professional relationships shifted as her lifestyle, values and life purpose were aligned more succinctly. Both businesses are thriving as she continues to explore ways to grow as a leader and give back to her community.


A manufacturer of women’s dresses, gowns and band and dance costumes had been a seamstress and entrepreneur all her career. After 17 years of running a business experiencing incremental growth, she decided to grow differently and needed help in shifting her perspective.
